CASS & DAVE

Ain’t no Love in the Heart of the City

Canberra folk singer extraordinaire, Cassidy Richens, and music legend Dave O’Neill debut their new duo, Cass & Dave, in this special gig at The Public Theatre. Performing new arrangements of work by iconic singers including Maria Muldaur, Mary Coughlan, K.D. Lang and Etta James, this intimate performance bridging blues, soul and jazz, will leave you with songs to wander into the night with.

Dave O’Neill is a top multi-instrumentalist who has toured the world with Eric Bogle and played with a host of other international acts. Both he and Cassidy are known for being playful, mischievous and wild musicians. They’ve never performed together like this, and the combination promises to be electric.

What learning music does for your brain

If it’s never too late to go to the gym – then it’s never too late to start to learn a musical instrument – and this great YouTube clips explains what amazingly good things learning an instrument does for your brain.  Dave loves the thought that besides bringing adults pleasure, a way to connect and build community, he’s also helping make them smarter!
